Phenomenology, as a method for expressing and describing experiences and meaning-making processes, offers a comprehensive overview of the human experience of illness. The main goal was to investigate the experiences of diabetic patients to gain a deeper understanding of health-oriented life. Materials and Methods:This research employed a qualitative approach, utilizing Schutz's phenomenological method. In-depth and consecutive interviews were conducted as instruments to gather descriptions of lived experiences. A total of 21 diabetic individuals living in Jahrom were studied through purposive sampling over an 8-month period. The collected data were analyzed and classified using the Schutz method. Results:The findings revealed six main themes: self-care, sleep, weight control, physical health, sexual health, and mental health, along with 21 sub-themes. Conclusion:Improving health-oriented life in diabetic patients necessitates a comprehensive approach. Diabetic patients exhibited health-oriented life experiences, with self-care, physical health, mental health, and sexual health playing significant roles.
