Methodology: This study is a descriptive correlational study. 100 diabetic patients were selected by Simple random. Diabetes Self-Efficacy Scale (CIDS) and General Health Questionnaire-12 (GHQ-12) were applied to obtain data. To analyze the data, in addition to descriptive statistics, inferential statistical analyses including Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test and linear regression analysis were performed using SPSS. Results: The findings of this study showed a significant correlation between Self-Efficacy and mental health of diabetic patients (P<0.0001, r= -0.68). The linear regression results showed that mental health predicts 34 % of variance in Self-Efficacy. Conclusion: The results indicated that increased mental health improves Self-Efficacy of the diabetic patients which, in turn, aides individuals to encounter their problems.
